The Woodberry Poetry Room is a warm, welcoming poetry library and landmark audio-visual archive featuring over 5,000 spoken voice recordings, located in Lamont Library and overseen by Houghton Library.
The ZIP file format is a common archive and compression standard. This moduleprovides tools to create, read, write, append, and list a ZIP file. Anyadvanced use of this module will require an understanding of the format, asdefined in PKZIP Application Note.

The mode parameter should be 'r' to read an existingfile, 'w' to truncate and write a new file, 'a' to append to anexisting file, or 'x' to exclusively create and write a new file.If mode is 'x' and file refers to an existing file,a FileExistsError will be raised.If mode is 'a' and file refers to an existing ZIPfile, then additional files are added to it. If file does not refer to aZIP file, then a new ZIP archive is appended to the file. This is meant foradding a ZIP archive to another file (such as python.exe). Return the bytes of the file name in the archive. name is the name of thefile in the archive, or a ZipInfo object. The archive must be open forread or append. pwd is the password used for encrypted files as a bytesobject and, if specified, overrides the default password set with setpassword().Calling read() on a ZipFile that uses a compression method other thanZIP_STORED, ZIP_DEFLATED, ZIP_BZIP2 orZIP_LZMA will raise a NotImplementedError. Currently, Course Reserves provides access to digital copies of course materials available to enrolled students (Shields Library only). While the EA program provides low-cost access to required course materials, the reading list provides no-cost access to both required and recommended course materials.
Lists from previous terms may re-used in subsequent quarters. If you would like to re-use a previous reading list but are having trouble locating it, it may have been archived; please contact the library staff for assistance. If you know you will be re-using a particular reading list in future classes or terms, a best practice is to export and save the reading list to your computer at the time of creation to avoid any issues with archiving.While there are multiple ways to export/import your reading list, the library advocates for using RIS files exclusively.
Titles that are submitted on a Course Reserves reading list are automatically reviewed for library e-book holdings. If an e-book is available, it will be linked to the reading list for students to access directly from Canvas. If off-campus, users will first need to authenticate themselves via the library VPN to access this material.
Please note that the library cannot digitize multiple editions of the same title; only the most current edition added to your Course Reserves reading list will be digitized. While a title is on active Course Reserves, the physical copies will be held in a closed collection and are not accessible.
If the material that you need is on an active Course Reserves reading list that you submitted, you are welcome to borrow the item for up to two weeks for classroom prep and use. Please be aware that this material could be recalled.
Archival materials are accessed in the reading room of the Library by appointment. Contact the Archives department at archives@frick.org to schedule an appointment. Researchers are required to register to use the Library and complete an Application for Access to the Archives. All researchers must abide by the terms and conditions set forth in this application.

Internet connection, Bluetooth connection, and USB ports are disabled on the provided Library-owned laptop. An NVDA screen reader is installed on the laptop and ease of use settings may be customized during your visit. Applications that already use SQLite for other purposes can easilyadd support for SQLite Archives using a small extension( ) to handle the compressionand decompression of content. Even this tiny extension can be omittedif the files in the archive are uncompressed. In contrast, supportingZIP Archives and/or Tarballs requires either separate libraries orlots of extra custom code, or sometimes both.
When a repository is archived, its issues, pull requests, code, labels, milestones, projects, wiki, releases, commits, tags, branches, reactions, code scanning alerts, comments and permissions become read-only. To make changes in an archived repository, you must unarchive the repository first.
Primary Search, designed specifically for elementary school libraries and public library children's rooms, contains full text for more than 70 popular, elementary school magazines. All full text articles are assigned a reading level indicator (Lexiles).
School district library media center materials and assigned school or grade-level reading lists must also be reviewed by a district employee holding a valid educational media specialist certificate and require DOE to develop an online training program for librarians and media specialists.
